As colleagues and friends we mourn the loss of Prof. Dr. Eelco Visser. We can share our condolences, memories and pictures on this Farewell community. Later we will make a remembrance book for Eelco's relatives. Thank you for your contribution to this community and the remembrance book.

A few words from The Faculty EEMCS of the TU Delft

It is with great sadness that we learned of the unexpected passing of our dear colleague and friend Eelco Visser. Eelco was professor and head of the Programming Languages Group (faculty EWI) at TU Delft and was an expert in the field of programming language design. The news of his passing deeply saddens us and our thoughts and sympathy go out to his family, friends, colleagues and students, and everyone dear to him. We wish them strength in coping with this unimaginable loss.

Met grote verslagenheid hebben we kennis genomen van het plotselinge overlijden van onze dierbare collega en vriend Eelco Visser. Eelco was als hoogleraar en hoofd van de Programming Languages Group (faculteit EWI) verbonden aan de TU Delft en was een expert op het gebied van programmeertaalontwerp. Het nieuws van zijn overlijden stemt ons diep droevig en onze gedachten en medeleven gaan uit naar zijn familie, vrienden, collega’s, studenten, en iedereen die hem dierbaar was. Wij wensen hen sterkte bij het verwerken van dit onvoorstelbare verlies.
